Hm..Probably the worst day i got so far in 2007? physically and mentally devastated.

you know? my neck n left leg ain't in a good shape since yesterday after dance. And there's this everlasting throat infection + fever(because of flu i guess) going on.

But yea..i think it should be fine if i dun push myself too hard today.

And must thank weixin here for helpin me out for dance! Yeah! and she said my dance's cute. yay! BETTER DEN EEBENG AND CORNY one. LA LA LA~~(hahas.)

Haha yea. then here comes my first visitor of the day, sharon! hhas. i taught her the zouk dance and great! shes a fast learner! already get the feel of it. Smart girl! And we discussed about the chair dance of luozhixiang. Hahas maybe i shld try it next week. Miss ang dun blame me if i break some chairs tmr. HAHA~

Yeah..then something happened..

Zhixiang came to the studio, with this super emo and depressed look. He cried, eyes all red. And there goes our brother sharin session again. Passin him tissues and all.

I walked him to the schoolgate...sorry dude...i dunno what i could do to make the situation better....forgive me if i could only lend u martin's listening ear....yea..sumtimes...like what u said...there's thing that i can't do for both of u.....u guys just have to figure it out urself..

i missed the cheerful brother of mine! And u know what? a good news for our boyband. Miss Ang said there's this CVD performance thing goin on. And she requested me to dance on dat day. yea..np for dat one...And she said we can even sing! Hahas. Yeah..it's not really something big..but not bad for a start u know? Givin us all the stage exp...go think about it. =) you shall be our boyband leader. Hahas! I got no leadership! U can do a much better job. =)

Aite, on my way back to the studio , wah saw peiru in the canteen, wearin some other skool uni. NICE MEH!? lols. i dun think it's nice personally.wahahaha~But k lorh..it's cute. And hahas, ur laughter still as crazy as ever! Yeah. so we cam-whore abit and i went back to the studio.

NONONO! This entry supposed to be SAD and emO! what the hell!

By that time..im already half dead actually. I could feel the heat throughout my body.

It's burnin my brain , and could feel the pain everywhere.Yea..no big deal..sign of flu..Jus got to bear with it abit.

And den weixin came. hahas..after teachin her the dance routine , we freestyled quite abit. So fuN! hahas. couldn't stop even though lactic acids were already formin mountains within me. yeah. in love with all the soft hiphop , jazz and ballet. Shld expose myself to more of this sia.. =)

Later on that day, our dance session starts. hm..only a small group of students stayed. Im fine with it . And Bella seems sick today. Hahas....u better eat lorh. That's a bad way to jianfei trust me. im a bio student. heee. exercise more important lazy pig. hm...

lesser ppl, easier to teach. Well...ahahas...it seems so not true.

Hais..probably they are lackin in interest and confidence? They jus refused to dance along..even for stretchin..it's like we are teachin the air to dance...while they are sittin ard and watch .

yeah..i know u guys hav a long day...and still got hw to do...hm..but maybe u all can just give it a try.........make mistakes nvm...we are more den willing to help....

u know? The expresso 's really ard the corner, 4-6 more sessions, dat's it, u guys will be on the dancefloor. me and zouk really wan it to be a good one..cos afterall..it's probably our so called 'last dance' in YJ.


it's really depressin , i feel so pathetic..and maybe im really pathetic...we did our best...and i dun think i could push myself even harder anymore...but things still not goin rite..

Eversince the dance thing started. Im like constantly beggin people to stay. sorry arh..i am like some 'da shao ye' in most part of my life ,and im not used to puttin myself so low. the 'beggin' really irritates me. i found myself irritatin jus to do that...i gort no thick-skin u know?

hahas. and u hor Darren..not tryin to blame u or what larh..but sometimes things dat u said really hurtin. yeah...if u wan to convince ppl to quit , den pls...dun say that straight in my face next time...and think b4 u speak..before i can't stand it anymore and give u a punch in the face.

yeah..on the way back with em..i really kept quiet...don't feel like talkin....it's either im too emo to talk , or too tired to talk...mentally and physically devastated.

hahas...i stoned at the bus-stop for like an hour...doin some self-reflection again..and i dun realli wan my family to see me in this state...

reached home...shower....dinner...took lots of medicine , even anti-biotic(hais..no choice) . Finish this blog entry and hit the bed.

Hhaas! so hm. Martin hits the studio even earlier den yesterday!

cos Bella's havin break at 12 , and she's goin off for lecture at 1 later.So.hm. time's precious , i shldn't be late.

Took a cab and went to skool. Hahas in a not bad mood today cos it's our first proper dance lesson for the J1s. alot to worry, but sumhow i feel very..hahas 'ci ji' .


Hhaas it's quite farni larh. im havin this canteen-phobia recently. Cos i bet ppl will look at me as a poser , comin to skool everyday like goin to some sorta fashion show.

Aite , i'll take the longer route to the studio.

anw Miss Ang visited da both of us half way thru the session. Hahas , i talked to her about how the whole dance gonna be like. And she seems very happy n high about it. Hee. great! Our hardwork paid off!

Hahas den i was thinkin..since she's at a good mood now, why not requestin her to let the J1 girls off for SYF , and migrate to me and zouk's modern dance grp.

She agreed! hahas i saved all the J1s from that bald gay!

They both left. And im all alone dancin again.

Hahas yea. exhausted.

Then i rmbed Rinna used to told me dat after u dance , green tea works wonder on dying man like me. hahas. so i go get afew packets of it from Uncle Jason's stall.

Yeah i danced for 1hrs straight non-stop. free-stylin again! But nv memorise em at all! argh.Stupid me.


Then all of a sudden, i felt this urge to faint.

Im , at my limit. (weak me..mei you yong..haha)

Quickly grabbed my panadol , den sit outside the studio to breath some fresh air.

Hm..maybe it's jus cos i haven recover from the previous infection.



So, afterward, Zouk came , and there we are, intensive choreo chiongin.



We listen to the music , feel the groove, catch the beats , discuss about what shld be the dance rountine like.


It's tough. VERY VERY TOUGH.

THis dance's ard 5-6 minutes.

Hahas. I wonder how corny and eebeng survived last yr's art fusion choreo.










Oh then something happened.

The Indian Culture society needs to use the studio for their indian hiphop. It's ard 5pm.

wow. indian hiphop. I wonder how it's like! Curious me, veryvery interested.

hahas while zouk's tryin hard to choreo, evil martin sit ard and watch the indian hiphop practice. Hahas i nv slack can!? But wan to see what type of dance it's like, maybe we can get some ideas out of it. hee.

Time flew fast and it's already 6.56pm there about. We are panickin cos we dunno how long they will be using the studio. Hm, soon they told us they were wrappin up their dance already,jus a few minutes and they will be gone. But hahas din really expect...the few minutes turned out to be another 1 1/2 hour. Hais..no choice, so in the meantime, we found other things to keep ourselve entertained. CAM-WHORIN. hahaas

HAHA!

hm..im bloggin so often! im so free now. WOOHOO.

ANw, this few daes me and zouk's been sweatin in the studio , making our martin zouk dance.

Well it's actually our first time doing dance choreography .

and now den i realised, it's....not easy.

THere's just so many factors we must consider.THe difficulty of the dance..cos most dancers are J1 , and they dun have much exp. THen will be the choosin of songs. Yea we made it. Zouk choosed 'sexyback' + 'my love' from justin timberlake and i picked 'im coming' from rain, as well as 'RIsing sun' by DBSK. hahas den we must also take into consideration of the style of hiphop we'll be using. , cos afterall, there's male and female dancers , we hav to use moves dat are...hm...suits both the sexes. And me and zouk's style's so different. Im more of the jerky type , lot's of Hits , locks , poppings and ripples. While Zouk's more on the breakdancing side .

Yea so we actualli came up with a couple dance part too. And we try to use moves dat give alot of impacts and style. Sweet and easy, sounds good?

However , NExt week onwards, i'll be in YJ teachin modern dance.

Hey guys martin's back to blog.

Hahas it's been awhile since my last entry.

hm. Basically i gort this very serious flu and throat infection dat put me lying on da bed since last thursday . yea , one whole week! Doing nothin'! except for watchin teebees, using coms , eatin pills and nappin with my teddy bears.



Yeah so today i decided to TRY coming to skool . Hey guys i nv pon skool ok! I know alot of u think i pon lorh! i didn't! And must give me credit for comin to skool even though i m still not feelin well. KAY!?

Hee,but i came for a reason too .

It's to DANCE. wuhahahahas.

TOday's wednesday, the official day for CCA.

U know what? Me and zouk's promoted to be the instructor for modern dance. And martin's now the captain of modern dance group ,taking charge HALF of the cca(muhahahas) . ho ho ho. yeah pass to our young ones the martin zuk hiphop concepts man!

Hee must say thanks to zouk here, cos he actualli came out with a dance already ,which is quite alrite ! It's as good as the one corny+ Eebeng choreo(Art fusion piece) for us last yr.Luckily, u did ur hw dude! If not we gonna rot in the studio , we look at em, they look at us.hahas. hey I'll choreo one too aite? den we combine to be a piece. perfect!


o den today there's guys too. the Freshies i mean. Yea finally not so tense today cos last time used to surround by girls only. Very stressed. And Martin's super shy i tell u. hahahas.

hm After the session i coughed n threw out everything. o well, it seems like i still can't do vigourous dance yet. =( wah see! very big sacrifice ! dance worth more den my life. My passion. =P

How it all started for me.




THE MSHS ERA(ahahahaa):


hey lookin back at my maris stella days , i nv thought i would ever choose to dance.





UNTIL i saw this group of mshs breakdancers . Sampson, Terrence , Desmond , the STD.lol.

Hhaaa sec 4 dat time they were always doin handstands and pike in the voiddeck.

it's like WOW to martin , totally awesome , i can't believe ppl can walk using their hands!

Soon i learnt that those stuffs are called 'BREAKDANCING'


hahas yeah den i joined into their grp . With a crew of 5 , we named ourselves the HANGTIME.

We break ard the esplanade area. underground , rooftop , and all. Still can rmb there's once a tourist's interested in our dance, and decided to ask us to do some moves for him to take photos.hee.



lols but it lasted only for a few months i guess. Afterthat comes the olvl , and after olvl we went on to a split road.




THE YJC ERA (2006 first 3months)

Here i am, in YJC. ha. First impression of it , this skool must be very poor. lols. But glad that they have this running track , i won't have to run uphill like da mshs days anymore. o den in this OG09 i saw Kenny! hahahas also from mshs.

o den both of us started huntin ard for which cca to choose , until we decided to join dance, since we think it's cool and can see girls dance.(see girl dance is kenny say one!'pushin blames to kenny' =p )

hahas this is the time where we first met zouk , our senior dancer. Yeah den he feed us with the club's info and stuffs. yea first impression of him , not bad, think hes pretty cool . And dancin's really interestin for me. SO both of us decided to stay, even though we are the ONLY 2 males who joined. makes up 3 if we count in zouk. haha. It's really bad.

THis few months both of us not really very active, cos we always couldn't dance on beat, keep forgettin steps and all . We gort no dance bg , we got no talent, perhaps we shld jus quit it and join sth else?

o den there comes this golden opportunities to perform. It's the danceworks'06 . I was quite excited over it. But...

the teacher forgot to write our names in!

wth man! hahas dam sad larh us. ROT in the studios doin nth everyday.

yea finally the danceworks'06 started. wow NP's good, way too good. But ours actualli not dat bad larh. still acceptable. hee.



YJC ERA ( after first 3months) :

Kenny left for CJ ! i gort stucked here!

hahas. and soon after , Zouk left too cos he gort to prepare for alvl.

im all alone , surrounded by girls.

yea ppl think it's very shuang , but it's not shuang at all . Most of the time i feel SOOOOO out of place , not jus beacuase im the only guy , but also i gort no dancing bg , i feel like a burden to the whole club. It's really shitty durin that period of time. Sumtimes i would even think of ponnin.

Yeah den i told some of my frens i feel dam stressed over my cca. and they gave me some of their advices .( hhas so sorry , i forgot who's these frens. thanks anw)

Ha so since then , i started to put in more effort into the CCA and dance with passion.

Later, Eebeng and corny came in to teach us modern dance.

Must thank both of em here cos they really help me ALOT in dance. No em , no me. yep serious , i gort all my dance basics from em , and interest too. THey widen my dancin style and all.And Corny your poppin sure's useful! hahas my moves tend to jerk/pop alot ^^ . Some of the major achievement i gort would be the Art Fusion and Teachers' day performance .




During the hol , i watched alot of dance(all sort, even jazz n ballet ) mv , videos , and went to see various dance competition and disco to further widen my dance.

YJC ERA (2007) :

TaDA! dat's me now , martin ,crowned by Miss Chua Miss ANg , the most-improved dancer.


I bet very few ppl could dance at my level in YJ. =P ( dun dare to say none.LOLS maybe there is , all the 'er hu chang long '. ) hahahas.

LAOPO BING DELIVERY BEGINS -

o anw, i met Rinna at somerset Mrt station .

WHile waiting for jas to come , we played arcade!

It's the first day of skool, and i already can't take it.

Im back, to square one. Everything seems so fine on the surface for martin .


i walked into skool just like any other day , saw my 'long time no see' besties zhixiang and peiru , they seems to be doin fine. =) good for em ! and zhixiang sure become a more cheerful person. LESS emo sessions this yr alrite? Hhahas as for peiru , i still luv the way she luff. very cute.ahahas , and noisy =X. missed both of u loads durin my overseas trip. =)

Anw, the whole day ppls had been screamin , shocking , eye-ing on me.

I feel like a superstar , NOT.

Things change when thing changed. People have a different view of me . It's not my imagination . i had read their mind. Their eyes told me everything.

Martin is recieving all the 'special treatments' from teachers , pitied by his peers.

I am stupid enough to walk ard with that white freshmen shirt , sayin hi to my frens as if im some hero returned from a foreign country.

During the mass dance, zhixiang tried to pull me to the other end of the hall( makin fun of me and somone again) . I refused. Not dat i dun wan her to see me , but actualli, i don't want them to see me. Surrounded by a whole bunch of promoted J1 , I feel like shit inside. ( Note : Hey, not blamin u here! In fact , i feel so much more secured with you guys( you , peiru and the 112 peeps) ard. =) )

During the talks , i was given the honour to pon it legally . Then i realised ,

i got no where to go.

I can't find a place where i could fit myself in.

i had lost my sense of belonging.

Hiding behind the basketball court , i stoned my hours away , till night fall.

Everybody's left. And im alone , dancing in the rain .
